GWM-WBF-001B – TI WL1271 Wireless LAN Adapter
R Soft Global Services GWM-WBF-001B Adapter is a Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and FM evaluation module that is based on Texas Instruments WL1271 combo chip. This small and low cost module enables customers to evaluate the TI Wi-Fi solution on any platform that has a standard SDIO connector or an SPI interface. In addition to evaluating the Wi-Fi capabilities it is also possible to evaluate the Bluetooth and FM components. This module has been constructed such that it can be used as a pluggable adapter card or a daughter card on a customer's design.
For evaluation the GWM-WBF-001B Adapter can be inserted into the SDIO connector of the low cost BeagleBoard (OMAP-3530) running Linux and the Open Source TI WL1271 Linux Device Driver provided along with the adapter. In this way evaluation can be performed out of the box without the need for any jumpers or wires.
